
Day 2. Arusha – Tarangire National Park
In the morning after breakfast around 7:00am your safari guide will make the hotel and inform the receptionist that he’s anticipating you. After meeting up together with your driver you’ll travel Tarangire park, and by 10:00 AM you’ll already air your first safari!
The Park is best known for its elephant herds, savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps and therefore the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes; bushbucks and hartebeests are often seen. With a small amount of luck, you may even spot the fringe-eared oryx or the weird-looking gerenuk. The Park is additionally home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a variety of predators like lions. Leopards are seen every once in an exceedingly while but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the vehicle, you may be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. Late within the afternoon, you may leave the park and still the village of Karatu within the lush of Mto Wa Mbu town.
